Consumer – What is a ‘Group Buying Deal’?

There is a massive difference between Wholesale and Retail. The in-between is Group Buying. This is when the store has agreed to allow individual redemption, as long as there is a minimum quantity purchased.

Just as the term says, it is a special price on a product or service which has a minimum number of purchasers. If you are looking at a Group Buying Deal on AP but it has not ‘Tipped’ or is not ‘On’, you can commit to purchasing the deal and contribute to the minimum number. Once the Deal has ‘tipped’ because the minimum number has been secured, the deal will be turned ‘On’ and you will be charged.

Once a Group Buying Deal is ‘On’, don’t hesitate to purchase it because it the deal could end at any point of time. Remember, the price is likely significantly lower then usual so the store would limit both the minimum and maximum number available! This is why hesitating even when the Group Buying Deal has yet to ‘Tip’ could leave you with a regretfully bitter taste in your mouth!
